What is this Custom Icon?
Foil pressing leather requires the use of metal die for each piece of art.
We will work with you to get a custom die created so that we can foil-press your custom icon on any of our leather products. This icon will fit any of the following products:
Once we have a die made, you can use it as many times as you like across any product it will fit at no additional charge.
What this includes:
- 1x custom press die (we keep this for future use, but you are welcome to ask us to send you the die if you want to keep it)
- Digital proofs & revisions. Our art team will create digital proofs of the icon on the product(s) you want to use it on. We can adjust sizing, placement, and small tweaks.
- Advice and guidance on creating the best result possible.
What this does not include:
- The product(s) themselves. You will need to add the product(s) you want to use this with to your cart as well. Use “Generic Art” when building them.
- Art creation. We are happy to make small adjustments to your art, but this does not include new art creation. If you need that, please reach out and we can create a quote for you.
How does this work?
- After purchasing, please email your art to: art@elderwoodacademy.com
- We will send you a digital proof so you can approve the art before we have your press molding made
- You can use this graphic for any number of leather products (Spellbooks, Scrolls, Codices) at no extra cost
- Custom leather products require custom magnesium molds to get made for the pressings. These molds can take up to 4 weeks to get made.
About the art!
You must have permission to use art that you send us! We cannot use copyrighted art without the artists permission!
As much as we wish it was different, engravings are black and white; Color and grayscale will not engrave well :(
- Preferred formats: .ai, .eps, .svg, .pdf
- Accepted formats: .jpeg, .png, .bmp, .psd, .cdr
- If you need us to add any of our standard bordering, just ask!
- Art should be large (1000 x 1000px or larger recommended, 500 x 500px minimum)
